New SKiltons Yard Application
Planning Application: 2008/2616

Application Still Falls Short

Revised Skiltons Yard Application - Nov 2008

We have been notified by Elmbridge Planning that a further planning application has been made by JTB Construction on the Home Yard (Skiltons) site. All those who objected previously should have been similarly notified.

Whilst the application is an improvement on previous applications it remains deficient in a number of key aspects and we are thus asking you all to lodge objections with Elmbridge as quickly as possible.

11am

The Mayor of Elmbridge will be ‘unveiling’ the first of the initial three Blue Plaques on Saturday 20th December at 11 o’clock at Threshold Music and DVD (opposite the end of Church Street) Crown Alley

We will then be moving on to Overbye in Church Street, where Caroline Martin, granddaughter of the architect Leonard Martin, commemorated on the plaque, will do the honours and then on to Pyports in Downside Bridge Road where David Taylor, our local historian, will officiate.

The mayoral party will then move on to the Farmers’ Market on the Leg o’ Mutton Field.  Do please come and join us

Welcome to the web site of the Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust which was re-launched in November 2005 from the Cobham Conservation Group.

We owe our genesis to a public meeting held in March 2005 when nearly 500 people gathered together to express concern about the rapidly changing face of Cobham.

The meeting wanted more proactivity to try and safeguard our local heritage recognising that we of course have to move with the times.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website and find the information interesting and stimulating and if you are not already a member that this will spur you on to join and support us. Click on Membership for more details.
