Pine View, Fairmile Park Road Planning Objection URGENT, PLEASE!! A NEW DEVELOPER IS NOW HAVING ANOTHER GO AT PINE VIEW! The main concerns for us neighbours remain the same as last time, when about 60 letters from residents helped to defeat the last planning application and appeal in 2004: 1. Changing the character of a residential area at present consisting exclusively of detached houses, although several of these have been subdivided into a small number of flats. 2. Increasing traffic density and traffic hazard because of the significant increase of traffic on a narrow road, with the entrance to the proposed block of flats located at a blind corner, opposite a public footpath (#89). Since many of us and our children walk or cycle along Fairmile Park Road, and there are no pedestrian pavements (which fits in with the leafy, semi-rural, character of our area), the increased hazard is of particular concern. 3. Losing an attractive Victorian “landmark” building and magnolia tree subject to preservation order. The application may be inspected at the Town Planning Division, Elmbridge Borough Council, at the Civic Centre in Esher. Objections to this planning application must be made within 21 days of posting, which is by Thursday, 29th March. If there are more than ten written objections, residents have the right to address the relevant Planning Sub-Committee concerning the planning application. Objections should be addressed to:
PLEASE CONSIDER WRITING TO THE TOWN PLANNING DIVISION ABOUT THIS APPLICATION BEFORE 29th MARCH! Alan Martin, Compton Water Elizabeth and John Bunting, Edgeleigh 10th March 2007 |
