Leigh Hill House Planning Objection This application proposes the construction of a new 3 bedroom detached dwelling within the grounds of Leigh Hill House together with two side extensions to Leigh Hill House itself. A new driveway is to be built at the southern end to serve both Leigh Hill House and the new property. It is felt that this application should be refused for the following reasons: 1. Loss of trees - a number of trees have already been removed and more are planned as a result of the application 2. Loss of amenity - the proposed vehicular access is to be via the existing footpath/bridleway from Hogshill Lane 3. Impact to neighbours - the new property would result in a loss of privacy to neighbouring properties 4. Leigh Hill house is an historical property set on an important historical site being one of the first settlements in Cobham. This proposal should be rejected. However, in the event that it is not rejected then an appropriate archaelogical review should be specified as part of the conditions. Objections must be in by Fri 2nd Nov 2007 The application may be inspected at the Town Planning Division, Elmbridge Borough Council, at the Civic Centre in Esher or via the Elmbridge Planning website. If there are more than ten written objections, residents have the right to address the relevant Planning Sub-Committee concerning the planning application. If you feel strongly about this application please write quoting the Planning Application refrerence number above to:- Planning Department, or email tplan@elmbridge.gov.uk quoting the Planning Application reference above. |
