Heritage Day

Cobham Heritage Day is a fun day for all the family and takes place in Cobham in Surrey.

The duck race at Cobham, SurreyIt is organised by the Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust every year and coincides with the Heritage Open Days at the beginning of September.

The Cobham Heritage Day event is free and takes place in Church Street, around St Andrew's Church and on the Leg O'Mutton Field.

The day culminates with the Cobham Heritage Day Duck Race on the river Mole. Thousands of yellow plastic ducks race down the river Mole from the Cobham Mill to the finish line at Riverhill.  The public can sponsor a duck for £1 each and the first 18 ducks to finish win a cash prize for their sponsor.

In the light of current government restrictions on social distancing and the uncertainly of the future of large gatherings, we have regretfully decided that we will be unable to run Cobham Heritage Day as usual in 2020.

If restrictions change it may be possible to put on a more limited community event and we are keeping matters under review.
