Curtain Pond, Downside – Volunteers Wanted – Sunday 14th October 2018

The Trust is supporting the restoration of an historic pond, Curtain Pond that is located between Cobham and Downside, on the corner of the Downside Road with Cobham Park Road.

The restoration work is being conducted with the help of the Lower Mole Partnership and Elmbridge Council, and we would like to encourage volunteers to help out with the project, which will take place on Sunday 14th October 2018.

The work starts at 10am, meeting by the pond, and is expected to continue until early afternoon, and will involve clearing scrub vegetation around the pond. Tools and safety hats will be provided along with tea and coffee. Please bring a packed lunch.

Please wear suitable clothing, especially footwear (waders useful if you have them!)

For any more details – please contact David Tipping 01932 863324

Location directions

Take Downside Bridge Road opposite Waitrose, towards Downside – drive 1 mile (~ 2 mins) and Cobham Park Road is on the left. Park along there, and the pond is back by the road junction.
