Chippings Farm is located to the north of Cobham and sits between the Portsmouth Road (A307), the A3 Esher Bypass and extends south-west from the Fairmile a 17th century coaching inn. 650 homes are planned to be built on this Greenbelt land.

Cala Homes and Burhill Group Limited (BGL) have opened a Public Consultation which closes on the 31st of July 2026. As part of the consultation there will be an exhibition to enable the public to learn more about the proposed development and to provide feedback.

We encourage everyone to attend the exhibition as we expect this development of 650 homes to have a major impact on this part of Cobham.

This is the third development recently proposed in our area, which if approved, will increase the number of homes across Cobham, Stoke D'abernon and Oxshott by 1,150 homes, this is in addition to the Wisley Airfield development of 1,730 homes which is already being built. The Oxshott, Clouds Hill development for 250 homes has already been given planning approval. All of these developments will increase the number of residents and traffic in our area by a significant amount and place further pressure on our local infrastructure.

The Great Cobham Duck Race is Back

The duck race will be the finale to the One Summer's Day taking place in Cobham, Surrey

The Duck Race is a firm favourite with local residents and with the many visitors that visit Cobham, especially children. As usual the starting line is near the Mill on the River Mole and the finish line near the Riverhill platform.

The cash prizes are:-

Five further prizes of £50 and ten more of £20.

Duck Race Tickets will be on sale for £2 each and will be available on selected days during June. 

Before the main duck race the “Big Duck” race will start – tickets for this race are £25 each, but a limited number will be sold and this has a £500 first prize.

All Duck Tickets can be purchased at the Cobham Heritage Duck Race stall between 10am and 4pm in Hollyhedge Road on Friday 12th, Saturday 20th and Friday 26th and outside Waitrose on Saturday 13th, Friday 19th and Saturday 27th June – as well as throughout the Race Day itself from the Cobham Heritage stand in Church St. Tickets will not be available online this year.
